Hyaluronic Acid Injections
The area between the lower eyelid and upper cheek is known as your tear trough. Although this part of our face naturally becomes more prominent as we age, this can often make us look tired and much less vibrant than we used to be.
The tear trough filler treatment with New Image Clinic can combat the appearance of hollows under the eyes and ensure the area looks tighter and brighter.
Lift and brighten your eyes with tear trough filler. Particularly deep tear troughs can also be caused by genetics, lack of sleep, a poor diet and even stress, while eye hollows can develop from an early age and can change the whole appearance of the face when they become longer, deeper and more heavily shadowed. A tear trough filler treatment provides an instant and natural looking correction to hollows under the eyes.
A fine grade hyaluronic filler is injected into the deeper part of the tear trough and this fills the hollow. This replaces lost volume and at the same time retains skin hydration. Once filled, the area appears flat and the light reflects off the skin evenly correcting dark shadows.
At New Image Clinic we use the most advanced range of dermal fillers. The STYLAGE® hyaluronic acid gel injection acts by filling in wrinkles and leaving the skin’s surface visibly smoother. To achieve the desired effect we will use STYLAGE® Sin this area
Those with:
If you have prominent tear troughs, look very tired, and creams don’t appear to work – there are two things that need treating individually.
One is volume loss within the anterior cheek pad, which is common as you age. This causes a depression just below the eye, forming the tear trough and resulting in the formation of shadows below the eyes so reflective make-up can sometimes, but not always be useful.
The second is thinning of the skin, which can lead to puffiness because of water retention.
The tear trough can be corrected with cheek volumisation, restoring the anterior cheek pad using filler and the loose skin can be addressed with skin boosters or skin peels.
With any injectable procedure, there is the risk of bruising and can last up to 2 weeks, sometimes longer, however this is very rare. There may be minimal swelling and redness but this will settle within a few days. It can also be disguised with the use of make up.
You will have an in-depth, one to one consultation with our Aesthetic Nurse, Adele, to discuss your concerns and assess your suitability for tear trough fillers.
Once this has been determined, a tear trough filler treatment plan will be created that’s fully tailored to your needs.
Tear trough filler treatments create an instant effect, but the results will improve as the product settles and integrates with the facial tissue.
Results normally last between 6-12 months. Although each person is different, some will find it doesn’t last the full 6 months. This can be caused by things such as smoking, fast metabolism, or regular exercise.
Patients can have treatment as and when they see fit, but it’s important to allow adequate time for the treatment to settle before considering another treatment.
