Botulinum Toxin
When some people smile, their upper lip elevates too far above their upper teeth, exposing the pink gum tissue and producing an unattractive smile; gummy smile. New Image Clinic uses botulinum toxin to reduce elevation of the upper lip and give you confidence in your smile.

Gummy smile is caused by several things, including a hyperactive muscle which elevates the upper lip; a thin upper lip (known as a high lip line); or teeth affected from altered passive eruption. In some cases, when the ratio changes in favour of more pink gum showing than white teeth there is a need for a gummy smile treatment.
The procedure uses the widely used protein botulinum toxin (Botox) as an injection to achieve the desired results. A small amount is be injected to weaken the muscles. Within a few days after treatment, elevation of the upper lip will reduce, meaning that less of your gums will be on show and you will have a renewed confidence in your smile.
